THE Netherlands-based Top Employers Institute recently certified Continental as a Top Employer in South Africa for 2019, the third consecutive year it has received the certification.The annual review recognises companies on every continent that provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and strive to continuously optimise employment practices.

“Despite having faced a challenging year, our focus on our people did not waver,” said General Manager of Human Relations Attie Higgs.

“We engaged differently in communicating our challenges, worked closely with our trade union partners and guaranteed open and transparent information sharing on matters directly affecting all employees.”

Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) also qualified as one of the country’s Top Employers making it the ninth consecutive year it has received this accolade.
