THE Eastern Cape Manufacturing Indaba, taking place in Port Elizabeth on 3 October 2018, will be discussing key topical issues that have an impact on all manufacturers from small to large.
As with the earlier Johannesburg and Durban events this year, the Fourth Industrial Revolution will be a central them of the event. A panel of industry leaders will share their thoughts on proactively managing the change while keeping ahead of the curve.
According to a statement from the organisers, “this panel discussion is designed to help small to large manufacturers understand how Industry 4.0 is relevant to every company, and how it might be utilised to help innovate and improve the bottom line”.
Another theme is maximising the market for manufacturers. Speakers and panellists will help delegates identify the tools available to help manufacturers, including government incentives and the investment and financing solutions available to them.
The indaba will also feature discussions around new geographic markets for manufacturers, including exporting into the rest of Africa and exploring new innovations and technologies to grow and provide new market sectors to sell to.
